Farewell to the fabulous 2016!

Hello Purple Room Families,

The month of December passed quickly with festive celebrations in our homes and in our classroom. Our children were thoroughly excited about the fun winter and holiday projects.

Friends beaded candy canes to create ornaments for the tree...

Finding the coolest spot to hang their ornaments :)

Picking supplies to decorate the snowflake ornaments that they wanted to hang on the tree as well...

Decorating snowflakes...

Reading about the legend of poinsettia and creating the related canvas art with sponge painting!

Making the delicious gingerbread!

Enjoying the gingerbread during outdoor time!

Snowflake stamping...

Creating a tree by sorting the paper strips by size from the wide base to the tippy top...

That spatial awareness and sequencing is a great pre-math skill!

Making snowmen...

Creating a snowmen village/town...

Making the SWEATER as a holiday gift for parents!

Thanks to all the families to stop by for cookie decoration!

Caroling!

For letter D, friends enjoyed making dog puppets. Even with the same supplies, each one came out so different and unique!

Dot art...

Enjoying pajama day with some hot chocolate!!!

Waffle fun!!!

Hope everyone had a fun and restful holiday! Happy new year!

Keep seeing you all around,

Hugs,
Teacher Rashida.
