Unique Ukeleles

Happy Sunday Purple Room!

I hope you are all enjoying your weekend.

This week is U week. Monday we will talk about what it means to be unique. We are all special and perfect just the way we are. We will be doing a craft based on our uniqueness. Tuesday we will learn about ukeleles and where they originated. We will be making our own ukeleles and making music together. Wednesday we will discuss the United States. We will talk about the history of our country and do a craft to celebrate the U.S. Thursday we will talk about uniforms and different occupations (firefighters, policemen, nurses, construction workers, etc.) Friday we will be doing something a little different. Since the weather is warming up, we wanted to have a water day. We will be talking about underwater creatures and life in the ocean. We will have water tables and water games outside. Please come prepared with the proper clothing.

We will also continue with sharing. Sharing will be Wednesday and Friday. Please have your child pick only one of the two days to share. This will ensure that we can get through everyone. Also, since its U week we encourage that students bring a sharing that either starts with U or has a U in the name.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend. See you tomorrow!

Take care,
Shaina
